Me and maths don't mix. Never have, never will.
I've not had to study the subject for 12 years and my A grade GCSE was attained by one mark and a small miracle (we seemed to spend a lot of the lessons sat at the back talking about hair products).
Can you imagine the mess my brain gets into when confronted with a research task at work that involves not only maths, but economics, statistics and graphs? Not pleasant.
Never before have I regretted the fact that in my three years studying at a university with 'economics' in its name, I studiously avoided all courses with that word in their title.
I thought working for the church would mean I'd escape all of this stuff. Clearly I was wrong.
But it's ok, my lovely friend Ann has come to my rescue.
I may have had to vow never to call her a "corporate whore" again, but in return I've had some amazingly useful information. Thank goodness not all of my friends are charity sector do-gooders!
And that's why today all you're getting from me is mindless drivel. My brain function was eradicated during a couple of hours' research this afternoon. In a few days time though, you may be treated to some wonderful thoughts and graphs on the subject of the financial crisis. Doesn't that sound fun?
